Ingredients
1 cross section watermelon (1″ thick)
1 Tbs olive oil
Sea salt
2 salmon filets, skinned
Salt and pepper
For Sauce:
2 Tbs tamari
2 tsp apple cider vinegar
1 tsp tomato paste
1 Tbs sesame oil or other oil
Dash or ginger and pepper
2 Tbs toasted sesame seeds
1. Cut watermelon about the same size as your filets, but about 1/2 inch thicker. Heat a large skillet
on medium high heat. Brush with oil and add in watermelon slices. Sear each side until lightly brown.
Remove from pan
2. In a small bowl whisk together all of sauce ingredients.
3. Add fish to previously used frying pan. Cook for about 4 minutes before flipping, at this time drizzle
sauce over top fish and cook until fish is firm to the touch. Place on top of watermelon slice. Pour any
remaining sauce over top and sprinkle with sesame seeds
