Center of Excellence – Training Camps
Synergy Strength and Conditioning is proud to announce our newest pursuit in education and sport development – “Center of Excellence Training Camps”. Synergy Strength has long been known as a center of excellence in the fields of higher learning, with our pursuit of increased knowledge, improved coaching standards, and programming efficiency and success. We are now driven to begin to pass on much of this knowledge to others through training camps to assist our members and others invovled in strength sports in becoming better athletes. We are setting out to develop training camps in all the sports that we support and assist development of – CrossFit, Powerlifting, Weightlifting, and Strongman. Our goals are clear – we wish to improve the sports we love through improving athletes movement quality, technical efficiency, sport knowledge, and sport acceptance and visibility. Growth and development of the sports and the athletes within them is the goal we set-out to achieve, we have the ability the knowledge, the coaches, and the structure to achieve this.
We are currently developing two distinct types of training camps – Recreational/Beginner athlete training camps and Competitive/Advanced training camps within each of the above mentioned sports (powerlifting, strongman, CrossFit, and weightlifting).
LEVEL 1 – these camps will be designed for beginner/recreational athletes. They will be one day training camps that will focus on the basics of the sport and its methods. We will be covering the following topics (adjusted to the specific sport);
– Basic technical development on competitive lifts
– Basic technical development on assistance lifts
– Basic programming methodologies
– Sport requirements and structure for recreational athletes
– 2 coached training sessions
Who are these camps designed for? these courses are designed for beginners to the sport and those who compete or train recreationally in the sport. Typically this will mean those with less than 1-2 years of experience within the sport and those who are looking to achieve more of the basic knowledge and ability within the sport. Much of the technical efficiency learned will be on the beginning progressions and regressions of the sports most valuable and implemented movements.
LEVEL 2 – These camps are designed for athletes who are currently active competitively (at many levels) in their chosen sport. these camps will be two day camps meant to be much more extensive than the level 1 camps from an educational standpoint, technical standpoint, and training standpoint. We will be covering the following topics (adjusted to the specific sport);
– Advanced development of assistance lifts
– Advanced development of competitive lifts
– Advanced programming understanding and development
– Increased training volume and opportunities
Who are these camps designed for? These camps are designed for those who are currently competing int heir chosen sports and have 2+ years of experience. The training volume and educational topics will be more in-depth, which will require a certain level of technical proficiency and training ability.
