Many of you may have seen this story on television or across social media over the last few days as I did and I hope it moves you as much as it did myself.
Hudson who will be turning 16 in April was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis 2 years ago. Hudson was granted a wish from the Children’s Wish foundation to go to Thomasland in Drayton Manor, United Kingdom. This is a dream come true for him as he loves trains and even more so thomas the train, which his grandparents had introduced him to. Sadly the children’s wish foundation was unable to cover the costs of his grandparents to travel as well. The family took it upon themselves to begin fundraising to try to find the funds to cover Hudson’s grandparents trip, Hudson himself also began fund-raising by collecting bottles and prepping them to be returned for refund, this was his contribution. Very recently all of Hudson’s bottles he had collected and prepped were stolen from the families back yard and he was left short of the funds he had worked so hard to earn. After hearing of this story Global television did apiece on Hudson’s campaign to raise funds to have his grandparents travel with him to ThomasLand in the United Kingdom.

WHAT CAN SYNERGY STRENGTH DO?
Synergy Strength is a community of very generous and giving people we know this from the multiple other things that you have all done for our fellow members, friends, and acquaintances in the past. I think we can help young Hudson with his bottle collection campaign by having our very own HUDSON’S WISH BOTTLE DRIVE CAMPAIGN. I feel we can truly help this family out and make young Hudson’s wish come true. Here is how it will work;
– Please bring your bottles from your garage and drop them off at Synergy Strength and leave them on the loading dock.
– Please inform myself (Chad) of the bottles and I will place them in a secure place for holding until we are done our campaign
– When you drop off your bottles please sign the card at the front desk that Hudson will get with his Synergy Strength Care package to travel with (new travel bag, t-shirt, shorts, and hat).
As I said earlier – I feel Synergy Strength is blessed with some of the most caring people as its members and friends, lets make this story have a happy needing and lets help make a dream come true. As a strong group lets ensure that Hudson’s story is as magical as he deserves.
After speaking with Hudson’s mom about fundraising, she made mention that they have in fact had an overwhelming response to the television coverage although not fully at their fundraising goals yet, they feel they will reach soon. All additional funds will be given to John Dolan School campaign to raise funds for special needs playground equipment and also to Children’s wish foundation.
