My name is Alyssa Brecht, I grew up in Warman and moved to Saskatoon when I was 7. Not very interesting I know. I was referred to Synergy Strength in my grade 11 year by Sarah Hills, who was my grade 10 Science teacher at Marion Graham.

What’s one interesting thing about you that other members may not know?
My nickname is Wiener.
What is your most memorable moment at Synergy Strength?
Definitely have to say when i snatched those yellow plates :), but aside from that.. When i was working to a max clean and jerk in the oly corner by myself, and Jason came over while he was coaching class and picked up my bar and brought it into the group class workout area and got everyone to stop and watch as i attempted my lifts. Just shows the support of the community and willingness to help coach.
When you talk about Synergy Strength with friends, what do you brag about?
I often will talk about how much i love lifting and how i can just spend hours at Synergy and lose track of time because its so easy to get caught up in training as well as socializing.
Also, this is the only place where i hear myself being called wiener.. 😛
What does #synergystrong mean to you?
Working hard and achieving great results due to the best programming. Being able to show case that and rep an amazing gym doing what I love, couldn’t be more proud to say that i train at Synergy Strength with such awesome coaches and fellow athletes.

What is you favorite aspect of Synergy Strength?
The awesome coaches and dedication they have themselves to either the sport of olympic lifting, power lifting and crossfit, but also the passion to help better others as athletes. Just shows how much they care and helps make the community that much closer together!
