Achievements:

What’s one interesting thing about you that other members may not know?

In my spare time, I enjoy woodworking with hand-tools in my basement.  I find it relaxing and rewarding.

What is your most memorable moment at Synergy Strength?
The most memorable moments for me at Synergy have always been the competitions.  There is something about pushing yourself to the limit in the company of others doing the same thing.  People are genuinely encouraging and excited for each other and that feeling of accomplishment is really hard to equal.

When you talk about Synergy Strength with friends, what do you brag about?

I’m not really a person to brag about myself to strangers unless I’m prompted.  When I first started going to the gym, I talked to my friends and family about it, brought them out for a bring-a-friend day, and was just generally excited about how much I enjoyed it.

After about 2 years of going to Synergy, I had made some significant improvements in strength and body composition.  It was at this point that people started to ask me what I was doing because it seemed to be working.  Now, people ask me all the time about diet, exercise, and physio-therapy.  I always try to provide helpful advice, and let them know that Synergy is the place that inspires me to work hard, learn more, improve myself, and help others do the same.

What does #synergystrong mean to you?

It means being stong and technically proficient.  It means maximizing ones natural talent through hard work and attention to detail, even when the lifts are hard and the required effort is monumental.  It means helping others along your pursuit of perfection.

What is you favorite aspect of Synergy Strength?

I really like the people that I work out with at the gym.  My friends at the gym are positive people working to live a healthy lifestyle, constantly improve, and have a great time.  I find it hard to emphasize how important that is when you are having a tough time outside the gym or you are fighting a plateau in the gym the positive and inspirational people at the gym always manage to lift my spirits and keep me on a positive track.

The world-class facility and equipment are contributing factors, but it’s the people that really make it work.
