Achievements:

What’s one interesting thing about you that other members may not know?

I ran twice for City Council – 2009 and 2012.  Combined I knocked on over 14,000 doors.  I lost narrowly both times.

 

What is your most memorable moment at Synergy Strength?

Finally doing a kipping pull-up without bands for the first time – it took me well over a year to reach that goal.

 

When you talk about Synergy Strength with friends, what do you brag about?

I brag about actually looking forward to going to the gym, how it gets my day started off with a great boost of energy (I always go at 7am), and how motivating the group workouts are.  Finally, I brag about how my strength and muscle tone as increased while my belt size has decreased.

 

What is you favorite aspect of Synergy Strength?

The motivation of working out with a diverse group of people that, no matter what, are there to cheer you on and challenge you to do better each day.  There is no judgment, regardless of your sex, age, or ability.

Bench press – 225 lb  (started at ~ 150 lb)

Back squat – 305 lb (started at ~ 160 lb)

Deadlift – 325 lb  (started at ~ 185 lb)
