It has been a long time in the making, but we are proud to announce the introduction of our newest specialty program – MASTERS STRENGTH.
MASTERS STRENGTH PROGRAM
The Concept –
Our health is our most important asset. Unfortunately most of us only realize that once we start to lose it. Aging is a natural process and unavoidable. There is no denying that. A solid foundation of strength and mobility are key components to staying healthy and aging well. The Masters’ Strength Program is specifically designed for adults 55 and older who want to improve their health along with maintaining strength and mobility as they get older. Through twice a week small group training sessions participants will get stronger, move better and improve their energy.
Goals of the Program –
– The main goal of the program is to improve participants quality of lives as they age.
– To help participants stay active, independent and happy by improving/maintaining their strength and mobility.
– To keep participants independent and increase longevity.
– To give participants the physical capacity to do anything they wish to do as they age.
– To keep preventable health issues at bay, by building a stronger, fitter person.
– To provide a safe, comfortable and supportive environment for people who may not have been active for years to start making some real change in their physical well-being.
What will a class consist of?
– All classes will have:
o A mobility component
o A strength training component
o A conditioning component
**All members will start with a short assessment/introduction before getting into the class to ensure that there are no serious medical issues that would make the program inappropriate for the individual.Who is this program for?
– This program is designed for all healthy active adults over the age of 55 years who are interested in improving wellbeing, strength, and self-confidence.
Cost and Schedule:
– This program will be $99/month and run Tuesday/Thursday @ 6:00pm
– The program will begin Tuesday January 06, 2015.
