I was forwarded a very interesting article on strength in women. The story came from an angle of a father telling the world that his daughters were stronger and better than him in amy ways, which made him proud. I thought it was quite interesting and I hope one day to have just as confident and talented children as Joe (writer) does and hopefully be bale to display the same level of pride and humbleness that he does. Here are two pieces of the article and a link to the full article below.
“And if I never lift more than my daughter? Well, and if that happens, so what? One, I’m not sure why I should feel threatened or belittled by my daughter’s abilities of any sort. Call me nutty, but I want my daughter to be accomplished and capable, and even more accomplished and capable than me, whenever that’s possible. It’s a parent thing.”
“there’s the obvious point that in the Scalzi household “girly” means strong and smart and capable and better than decent with ranged weapons. All of which I would happily be. So yes sign me up for girly please.”
