DESCRIPTION: Team members will complete a total of 16 rounds of 5 G2OH & 10 pull-ups, FOR TIME. After 16 rounds complete, each member of BEASTS ALSO have to complete 50 DUs. 12 MIN TIME CAP.
DETAILS:
- All team members start on the red mat. Rotating one at a time, team members will run to their loaded barbell and complete 5 G2OH, then to the rig to perform 10 pull-ups. The team member then runs back to the red mat to tag partner to allow them to begin.
- If workout not completed in the time cap, each rep not completed will add one second to the teams time.
- Only one team member can work at a time, and all other team members must stay on the mat.
- Teams can go through any order of their choosing, but they must stick to that order throughout the entire workout.
- BRUTES have the option (one or more members) of doing RING ROWS instead of pullups, but that will place the team below any other team doing pull-ups.
SCALINGS:
BEASTS: G2OH – 95# females, 135# males, PLUS, DUs
BRUTES: G2OH – 75# females, 115# males, PLUS (or choose ring rows but will be placed under those teams that do pull-ups).
MOVEMENT STANDARDS:
G2OH (ground-to-overhead): Bar starts on the ground with both sides of plate touching. Bar must finish overhead with full lock out (elbows, shoulders, hips, knees in one straight line) and feet parallel. You can get there however you want – clean & jerk (press or pushpress) or snatch.
PLUs (pull-ups): Athlete must start hanging off the bar in full extension (elbows straight) without touching the floor, chin must cross the horizontal plan of the bar, at the top of the movement.
RING ROWS: BRUTE teams can opt for any of their members to do ring rows instead of pull-ups, but this will place them below any team doing pull-ups. Height of rings will be set to 44in (at the bottom of the ring) and cannot be adjusted. Heals will need to be placed up to the edge of the rig base plate, closest to athlete (approx 9in from directly below the rings). Full extension (elbows straight) at the bottom with body in straight plank position (no breaking or bending of the hips or knees). At the top position, athlete must touch rings to some part of body – shoulders, chest, and so on – while still in straight plank position.
DUs (double unders): Skip rope must pass under the feet twice for a single jump. No skipping required for BRUTE division.
